Carcinoma cancer is a type of cancer that forms itself in epithelial tissue cells. These types of cells are present in the skin “epidermis” and the linings of your internal organs. The different types of carcinoma cancer may be diagnosed by there location and stage. The most common types of carcinoma can include invasive ductal carcinoma which is responsible for skin cancer, and there’s also basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma, which also are responsible for skin cancer.

There is also adenocarcinoma which originates itself in the glandular epithelial cells, while other types carcinoma in situ and invasive carcinomas refer to the earlier stages of cancer.

Carcinoma is only 1 form of cancer, carcinoma cancer is comprised of cells that have developed the histological architecture, cytological appearance or molecular characteristics of epithelial cells.

Carcinoma Background and Definition

Carcinoma can be defined as a specific type of malignant cancer that effects the epithelial cells.

Epithelial cells are in the skin and different organs inside the body, as well as many of your glands. These cells appear in large interconnected structures in the body known as tissues.

There’s lots of different kinds of carcinoma. Due to the fact that there’sĀ  different areas inside your body where epithelial cells and tissues exist.

What Causes Carcinoma Cancer

Causes of Basal Cell Carcinoma

Prolonged exposure the ultraviolet rays of the sun are the primary cause and development of basal cell carcinoma, there’s also a very rare genetic disorder which is known as Basal Cell Nevus Syndrome. Which causes the cancer to develop. Some of the main risk factors for this cancer are prolonged exposure to the sun and light skin and low melanin in the skin.

Causes of Squamous Cell Lung Carcinoma

There’s also squamous cell lung carcinoma cancer which is a lung cancer that is deadly, which may also spread to other parts of your body, which come with excessive discomfort and pain. Risk factors and causes of this type are long term exposure to toxic materials such as smoking, or working in environments that cause you to inhale paint fumesĀ  or other toxic fumes.

There’s many different types of carcinoma cancer that will effect millions of people all over the world. Though carcinoma is deadly it is also treatable, particularly if found in it’s early stages.

The other 20% of skin cancers — Stated by the American Cancer Society — are Squamous cell carcinomas. They will typically show on the face, lips, neck, ears and back of hands, they may also form as scars, skin ulcers or moles anywhere on the body. Unlike basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas are usually more aggressive and are much more likely to metastasize and spread to other locations of your body.
